Need help explaining internet options?
My husband is a fisherman (scallops) Im not sure the location where they fish put I know its atlantic and they go out really far. My question is what products and service can I purchase to be able to talk with him via internet. They have satellite phones but its outrageous. Any info on satellite internet services. Im not technology bright so and help is appreciated. thanks for the answers

They do have satellite internet options however its hard to tell if it would be available to broadcast to the offshore Atlantic. Roughly service is around / month and the speed is rather lacking for the money then you have equipment to purchase. Check out: http://www.hughesnet.com and see if its a viable option for you. Its the only option I can think of to be honest.

Well, you can use an email program, he can use it with his cell phone and you just email to his phone number (eg. 13056658899@cellphoneservicecompany.com or .net) or you can just use msn if he has a computer..

First , you need to decide wish ISP you are going to use. Now to choose this , you have to let them know what will be the equipment your husband will be using to connect to the internet . Then you can download any kind of chat software and just create a user for you and your husband .
