Can any professional help me?
i live in lebanon and here is very it's very old fashioned we still don't have dsc or broad band internet till now so how do we get internet ??? most of lebanese isp deliver connectivity by 2 ways either by telephone line and a fax modem which is killing slow and very expensive as one house costs a dollar so imagine being all the month online ....the next method is way cheaper it costs 40 dollars a month but it has several problem and one major problem which i will talk about now ...the isp gets the internet from satellite shares it and delivers it to customers through lan now how does this lan reaches a customer ??? it comes to you through ordinary UTP cable over the roofs of buildings ..they install a switch on each roof and they pass the cables through buildings in the air so if u live 5 miles away imagine the number of switches the cables passes till it reaches ur computer ...the main problems is rain ..when it rains we lose connectivity

More familiarity with the infrastructure of your country would help. This site is primarily a North American site for questions and answers and most of us have no knowledge of the Lebanese infrastructure. In the U.S. there are internet providers that allow you to connect to the internet directly by satellite. Maybe there is such an option for you? These providers sell you a satellite two-way dish that you mount to your house.

Call your local phone company and ask them to install an OC48 cable to your house. This will get you better speed and shouldn't be as suceptible to lightning strikes. It will, however, make the Israelis wonder what you are doing with all of that bandwidth, and probably bomb your house because they suspect you are doing something they wouldn't like with it. I can't help you with that part, though.
